I'm tired of throwing away my wilted veggies. I'm saving them, instead.
(Video Below so you don't have to read... if you're not in a reading mood.)
Do you get angry when your organic produce wilts right after you buy it?
Me too.
We spend spent a lot of $$$ on what turns out to be old produce.
Grrr.
What to do?
Well….
This time, rather than toss the kale, I decided to blend the kale and freeze it in an ice cube tray.
These silicone trays are so handy. Each cube takes a tablespoon of food, and the lid is perfect layer of protection. Here is a link to buy them on Amazon: https://amzn.to/4bGCxeU (I searched for weeks before I found the right trays. Now I use these for everything.)
👉 How I Froze my Wilted Kale:
Recipe:
1 cup filtered water
Bunch of kale
Blend. Add 1 tablespoon mixture to each cube. Freeze.
For me?
3 cubes of kale sludge is the right amount for my smoothie.
Now I'll have frozen kale handy when I run out of fresh kale.
Kale has so many nutrients that helps skin health. Read on.
👉 5 Ways Kale Boosts Your Skin Health:
🌿 Rich in Vitamins A and C: Kale is packed with vitamins A and C, which promote collagen production and help maintain skin elasticity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. #SkinCareScience #HealthySkin
🌿 Powerful Antioxidants: The high antioxidant content in kale, including beta-carotene and flavonoids, protects your skin from oxidative stress and environmental damage. #AntiAging #SkinProtection
🌿 Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Kale's anti-inflammatory compounds, like omega-3 fatty acids, help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness. #InflammationRelief #CalmSkin
Detoxifying Effects: Sulforaphane, found in kale, supports the detoxification process, helping your skin stay clear and healthy. #DetoxSkin #ClearComplexion
🌿 Moisture Retention: Kale contains essential fatty acids that help your skin retain moisture, keeping it hydrated and supple. #HydratedSkin #glowingskin
I add up to four pieces of fresh kale to my daily protein drink--or three cubes of frozen kale SLUDGE. It's such an easy way to get more vitamins and nutrients in my diet.
